Hot Mess - Jesse Weston and Joel Astley are hitting the local blues scene like a ton of bricks; they are sharp-dressed, each deliver smooth, rich vocals, and both are decorated with awards. In Spokane Jesse won best new band as well as best blues piano and received a nomination for best male performer. This year Joel won Washington Blues Society’s best blues harmonica award. These two knew they struck gold when they joined forces and created power duo Hot Mess. They feel that keys and harmonica both embody the character and voice of music and capture the timeless simplicity of the blues. Mixing swing, country, blues, and jazz elements, they take traditional blues and original tunes, and deliver a high energy act that is winning fans over and keep them coming back!
